Our Campgrounds

The Laneways

  • Nukara’s main campground, The Laneways, offers easy access to everything — just a short stroll from the ablution block, Stone Barn, and Creek Stage. Settle in with plenty of room to spread out, no matter your setup — swags, tents, camper trailers, caravans, or rooftop rigs are all welcome here.

Enjoy the communal picnic tables and a playground nearby, making this a relaxed and family-friendly space for your stay.

  • From the main Nukara entry, follow the signs marked “Barn.” Continue along the main track — you’ll pass the ablution block on your left and the Stone Barn entrance on your right.

As you drive further, look to the right for rustic animal signs — each lane within The Laneways is named after one of these animals. Once you find your designated lane, turn left and head down to your assigned site.

Please refer to the site map for exact locations.

The Red River Gums

  • Tucked beneath a canopy of ancient gums, The Red River Gums campground offers a peaceful, semi-private setting just a short stroll from the ablution block.

This tranquil spot is perfect for tents, swags, cars, and campervans, but not suitable for caravans or trailers due to ground conditions and access. Guests can still enjoy easy walking access to the Stone Barn & Creek Stage, while enjoying a quieter, nature-immersed camping experience.

  • From the main Nukara entry, follow the first sign marked “Barn.” After crossing the one-lane bridge, look for the “Bushtub” sign and go left at the fork, and then turn left onto the bush track.

Campsites along this track are not individually numbered, so please refer to the site map to locate your designated area.

Please note: The Orchard and Dome are private areas and are not for camper access.

This area is not suitable for caravans or trailers due to track conditions.

Foxy Field

  • Located near the main entrance, Foxy Field (Between Fox Dam and a field!) offers wide open spaces framed by native bushland — perfect for campers who love room to move and easy access. This campground is suitable for all vehicle types, from swags and tents to caravans and rooftop setups.

Facilities include 2 toilets, 1 accessible toilet and hot shower, and a washing-up sink with hot water for added convenience. Just a short stroll away, you’ll find the tranquil Bush Tub Oasis and Fox Dam, where guests can enjoy picnic tables, undercover spaces, and flowing winter creeks.

  • From the main entrance, drive past the wide open field on your left. Shortly after, turn left through the opening in the fence — marked by a dirt track leading into the grassed area.

Campsites here are not individually numbered, so please refer to the site map to find your designated spot.

If you miss the first entry, don’t worry — just continue along the fence line to the left, and you’ll find a second driveway that also leads into Foxy Field.

The accessible ablution block and sink are located directly next to the Cottage for your convenience.

Please note: The Cottage is private and not for camper access.

Valley Views

  • Perched on higher ground with sweeping views of Chapman Valley, Valley Views is ideal for self-contained caravans and campers. Due to its distance from the ablution block, this site is best suited for those with their own toilets.

Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect base for exploring bushwalking and hiking trails, and offers uninterrupted stargazing under clear skies. Peaceful, private, and immersed in the landscape — Valley Views is for campers who crave solitude and a deep connection to the land.

  • From the main entrance, follow the signs marked “Barn.” You'll pass the ablution block on your left and the Barn entrance on your right. Continue along the main track, driving past The Laneways campground (you’ll see the rustic animal signs on the right-hand side as you continue driving).

As you head further into the property, stay to the right where possible — these tracks are generally used one-way, with the left path for oncoming traffic.

Campsites in Valley Views are not individually numbered, so please refer to the site map to locate your booked site. If your assigned spot isn’t level enough for your caravan, feel free to continue further into the valley to find a flatter area that suits your setup.
