‘Weddings Parties Anything’ frontman MICK THOMAS is also making the journey from Victoria with The Go Set to share some tracks from Mick’s new album produced by Darren Hanlon that will be released in Feb 2012, plus a few old WPA fav’s can be expected too.
BLIND LEMON an established funky blues act from Queensland who is making the trek across the Nullarbor to the Chapman Valley to show us why they are an award winning energetic blues act.
THE FANCY BROTHERS will be bringing their Bluegrass / Glam / Happy Hardcore up the Brand Hwy from their usual Perth/South West jaunts to exhilarate us with some hilarious tunes. Band members include Justin Walshe (JW Folk Machine), Jeff Strong (JS & the Chicken Pickers), Phoebe Corke (various artists inc Freya Hanly).
MINNIE MARKS who made a small appearance at the last NMF (with the Hussy Hicks) on stage with Dilip & The Davs and her propeller topped cap, has her own set this year to showcase why she won the ‘Emerging Artist’ title at the Nannup Music Festival in WA, and returned home to win the ‘Busking over Byron’ competition securing her a spot on the bill at Bluesfest 2011 and 2012.
Local group FOLKLORE will be bringing their Irish/Celtic tunes (as it is St Patricks Day) to the Nukara Music Fest for their first time after wooing the crowds at the recent Nukara Christmas Parties.
